From Coffee with Milk to Black Coffee

After nine months in Paris, I can now drink my coffee, black, without milk. Don't get me wrong, I would do anything for a tall coffee with milk (half and half wherever possible) but French pasteurized milk tastes funny. A weird after-taste of burnt plastic? Somehow even the smell of it makes me feel nauseous. So I've abandoned all hopes of having my relaxing much-awaited morning coffee with milk no sugar and I drink it black.

From Coffee with Milk, no Sugar to Coffee, just Black, no Sugar. Not espresso yet. It doesn't come full circle... yet.
